Remembering Earth as Mother & Tending to the Mother Wound

A 3 month virtual container & co-learning space for women & femmes to reconnect with the Earth as a living Mother and, through this relationship, tend to the Mother wound within your lineage.

This offering is specifically for white bodied women and femmes knowing that we have specific work and lineage repair to do so that we do not bypass that we are Settlers on colonized land.

December 1st 2024 - February 28th 2025;

12+ hours of recorded videos with storytelling, guided meditations, ecofeminist teachings, and invitations to deepen connection with the Earth Mother & tend to Mother Wounds

  • You seek a more embodied connection to land + the Web of Life

  • You seek the support of the land and the Earth as you navigate shadow-work throughout your personal healing journey & the larger realities of socio-ecological collapse

  • There have been Mother wounds in your lineage passed on to you. This can include a lack of embodied, spiritual connection to the land and Web of Life.

  • You are willing to sit with the uncomfortable truth that you are a Settler on stolen land while held in a compassionate and caring community space

  • You are open to being invited into a curiosity around your ancestors relationship to land, & the ways that this relationship may have been suppressed & colonized before your earth-based ancestors became colonizers themselves and/or settled on stolen land & assimilated to the dominant colonial culture on that stolen land

and relationships need tending.

When Earth becomes Mother,

we become vessels to receive the Great Mother Medicine,

& become more embodied participants in the co-creation of life.

Julia curates land-centric experiences and weaves earth-rooted community that nurtures our innate connection to the Land and Earth Mother.

She believes that when we cultivate a reciprocal relationship with the living land that we are apart of, not only do we nurture our own wellbeing & healing at the micro level, but we also be rooted during these times of climate collapse & polycrisis and more able to show up for collective liberation from a place of integrity.

About the facilitator

I am a daughter of the Earth, and I am also a Mother to an earth child.

To me, Motherhood is not simply a passive act of invisible servitude.

Motherhood is life-affirming political action and care for my community & the collective.

My Motherhood is a compass that opens me to clearly see what’s as stake for the earth and the future generations.

Motherhood is an act of Leadership & Responsibility.

I am an ancestor in training,

passing on to my child the medicine of communion with and reverence for the Earth.

My Motherhood is a testament to my resilience & devotion to the future.

My Mothering reveals my faith in a future reality where life is centered.

My Motherhood is intertwined with my commitment to collective liberation and doing shadow work as a white person to show up for the dismantling of colonial Empire.

My Motherhood is a life-affirming co-creation with our Great Earth Mother.

(Please note: this gathering is open to all white women & femmes, not just biological mothers. I am including these words on Motherhood because it is deeply relevant to my bio & work.)

  • we will be in compassionate, non-hierarchical community and co-learning together. Julia is showing up as a space-holder and guide and also a humble student

  • we will tend to the Mother wound in relationship with each other and the Web of Life, allowing the living land to hold & support us in our healing journey

  • we will inquire about how the process of colonization has caused harm within our European lineages both as colonized & colonizer, & the impact that the nuanced both/and layers of colonization may have had on our ancestors’ relationship with the Great Mother / Earth Mother

  • we will tend to the Mother wound for the sake of our own personal healing journey and also knowing that this empowers us to show up for our responsibilities to our communities & the collective with greater resilience and integrity 

  • we will not spiritually bypass our Whiteness and complicity in the ongoing colonization of Turtle Island, and we will hold this truth in our relation to the land.  If you are not able to be with that truth as a racialized white person, then this container may not be for you.

  • Fostering the remembrance that we are held by and of the earth. Surrendering to being held and supported in the face of discomfort. Cultivating a sense of belonging within the living land in a way that does not bypass that we are Settlers and that this land was stolen.

  • embodying reciprocity as we orient ourselves to the responsibility that comes with our relationship with Earth Mother. The Earth can not provide indefinitely if humanity continues to exploit. And, reciprocity includes right relationship with the Indigenous peoples of the lands that we occupy.

  • Weekly excerpts from ecofeminist texts to guide us as we contemplate relevant history and mythologies pertaining to our european lineages and to orient ourselves to an animistic perspective

  • Each week you will be invited into optional practices to support you, including meditations, rituals, creative projects, and journal prompts.

  • 3 live integration calls, each at the end of the month, where we will share and witness in compassion. A whatsapp group chat active throughout the container for cultivating connections and sharing experiences + thoughts. Julia will not be active on a daily basis, but will be present regularly to hold space, engage and support.
